Genova International School of Soccer begins operations in Canada in 2008, under Alberto Corso.
GISS Canada already has two players in Europe:
Julian Uccello, age 22 has signed with Rivarolese serie "D"(Italy), and
Mathew Macri, age 18 has signed with Vicenza serie "B" (Italy).

The July 18+ European tour provided senior Canadian players with an opportunity to train in Europe under top Uefa 'A' licenced coaches including Luciano Miani (UEFA A); Romano Matte (UEFA B), Giorgio Scapini (UEFA B), coach of Verona Calcio; Mauro Zironelli (UEFA B), coach of Vicenza Calcio; and Joe De Martino (FFA AFC B), Head Coach, GISS Australia.
