Congratulations to our two ex-Melbourne Phoenix and GISS Australia players, Chris Vartaci, 18yrs, and Mario Piraino, 17yrs, who today have officially signed with Portogruaro Calcio, newly promoted Italian Serie B team. Both players have spent over a year in the GISS Zane Players Abroad program.

When I sent them to trial I knew we would obtain a good result; their great belief and determination in our system has paid off, even if we are only at the first step. It's a great club that already has an Australian star in their firsts team - Adrian Madaschi - and a good mentor for our boys to look up to.
