Genova International undertakes projects at campuses worldwide, in order to enhance the development of players. Projects include campus based training camps held in collaboration with AS Roma Calcio, participation in local competitions through the establishment and management of GISS based teams, regular tours for age based groups, and long term development camps in Italy for players 18 and over from GISS campuses worlwide.

Genova International is also active in organising and managing the placement of GISS players with teams across Europe, and has had major success in securing trials and signings for players from Canada, Australia, Italy, Brazil and Holland. See Trials and signings for detailed information.

Genova International invites applications for places on the 5th 18+ tour of Italy, to be held from July 17th to July 30th, 2011, in Italy.

Tour objective: to provide a showcase for players without contracts or players looking for contracts.

Ages:18+.

Tour dates: 17th July - 30th July 2011

Venue: Hotel Antares Francavilla (Verona)

Training Venue: Stadio Comunale Francavilla (VR).

Key dates

Arrival: 17th July: Milano Malpensa airport. Group escorted to GISS headquarters, 1hr 20 mins to destination (Veneto region).

Players Press Conference/Presentation: 16th July: 6pm at Hotel Antares (media in attendance will include Sky, and local Italian television).

Training commences: 18th July, 10am

Equipment provided: playing kits, training kit, soccer bag, tracksuit and other gadgets.

Previous tours - in 2007 and 2008 - have seen games played against Serie A, B and C official 1st teams, including Fiorentina, Chievo, Bologna, Livorno, Atalanta, Piacenza, Cittadella, Padova, Vicenza, Verona, Genoa, Mantova, and Piacenza. 2009 saw games against Chievo, Siena, Torino, Vicenza, Verona, and Mantova. 2010 saw games against Catania, Siena, Chievo, Albinoleffe, and Parma.

Genova International's four players signed to Vicenza Calcio in 2010: (left to right): Marcel De Bellis, Paolo Rogato, Morris Pagniello, Steve Maselli, Nick Modaffari. Genova International has officially affiliated with Serie B Italian club Vicenza Calcio, a famous club with a history of launching careers of world class players like Roberto Baggio and Paolo Rossi. The club has signed six GISS players in the past year, and is now offering official football trials for the season 2010/11 to GISS players. Anthony Carter, Melbourne based GISS/MPFC player is to travel to Italy in 2009. Anthony, at 15 years of age, has been with GISS for the past 2 years and has scored more goals than any other player from all age groups. He scored great goals against the biggest clubs in Italy and attracted interest from giant club Juventus FC, the team that GISS u14 defeated in penalties 6-5 after a great 3-3 draw on the November 2008 tour.
