Soccer players born between 1996 – 1993: take the chance of a lifetime to train and trial with Serie B Team Vicenza Calcio in the Easter School holidays, 17th to 28th April (limited places still available and subject to pre-travel trial).

Last year we took a squad of boys drawn from our campuses worldwide. As a result three boys returned to train and signed with the prestigious Vicenza Calcio team, supported by our Italian residential program for players starting their football careers in Europe. It is exciting to think that we are working with a club which launched the careers of world class players like Roberto Baggio and Paolo Rossi.

Even for the boys who were not selected, their trip remains a memorable and valuable experience, enabling them to play and benchmark themselves against youth players well above the usual standard of play in Australia or Canada. Due to the intensive daily training schedule the boys all showed very marked improvements in skill levels and game play.

Of course for all players it was also a wonderful and mostly new cultural experience, visiting the beautiful city of Vicenza – region of Romeo and Juliet - and then training in the surrounding mountains, well fed in the evenings with Italian cuisine.

SCHOLARSHIPS

After finishing 2010 on a high note with successful results in a summer competition, we are commencing regular training at our new venue, at the Furlan Club, 1 Matisi st, Thornbury, as of Mon 31st Jan, 6-730pm. We have switched to a two semester year running from Jan 17 to Jun 30 & Jul 18 to Dec 10.

Semester 1 training will be as follows:  
Sub Jnrs (6-9yrs) Tue, Thu & Sat @930-11am
U11 & U12 Mon, Wed & Thu.
U14 & U15 Mon, Tue & Thu.
U18 Mon, Wed & Thu

Melbourne Phoenix is offering Goalkeeper Training Scholarships for the following teams:
U18A, U15A, U14A, U12, U10.

Manchester United Premier Cup (MUPC) for U15 team
We are looking at entering this competition. Please express your interest to us asap.
All  clubs will participate in a knockout competition held over the following dates at Darebin International Sports Centre:

- 5th/6th of March

Bardolino Verona Serie A Womens Team – Italy (March 12-23, 2011)
For the first time ever Italy's most famous women's professional team is running a training and trials campus in Verona, Italy. The program will run for 11 nights, with coaching by some of the most qualified coaching staff in the serie A league, by national Italian players who play for the club this season and by guest coach 2010 Golden Boot winner Melania Gabbiadini.

18+ World Players Tour
Genova International invites applications for places on the fifth 18+ tour of Italy, to be held from July 17th to July 30th, 2011, in Italy.
Tour objective: to provide a showcase for players without contracts or players looking for contracts.
Ages:18+.
