2008 Italian Residency Program
The Genova International Italian Residency program is designed for players to practice four days per week and play two games per week with highly regarded Italian coaches and former pro players in the Italian way. The objective is to groom the players to help them secure a pro contract. The residency takes place during the months of September to May.
The Residency program takes place in Zane, Italy, just north of Vicenza. We have our own stadium, practice facility, lodging, and education in English. This strategic location boasts a close proximity to big academy teams such as Inter, Juventus, Milan, and Genoa, and is nearby neighbouring countries, Monaco, Switzerland, Austria, and Germany.
Every Thursday we play a big academy and every Sunday we play in regionals and play for the town of Zane with very important practices up to four days a week, sometimes two times a day! Every player is evaluated after three months on their development and if it is deemed that the player is not developing and progressing he will be sent home and the next player on the waiting list will take his spot. The other players who are progressing will be allowed to stay on, with the hopes of gaining a pro contract with the help of all our resources in the soccer world.
Accommodation in the town of Zane is fully supervised by a professional staff. Participants will enjoy three healthy meals a day. Schooling will be a provided via the use of online education and an English-speaking teacher. There are also English-speaking coaches to assist with translation, if needed.
The cost of the program is 1400 euro per month. The duration each year is September to December 15 and January 15 to May 1. Accommodation, food, education, transport, supervision, uniforms, bags, coaching, games, and much more are included. Participants are responsible for the arrangement and payment of airfare.
