Nick Terezakis today begins trials with Hellas Verona, and Marcel DeBellis continues trials with Chievo Verona.

The September 15s + 13s tour successfully finished yesterday, with the players gaining an opportunity to learn from serie A qualified coaches, and to play against Italy's top youth teams, such as Genoa, Juventus, Torino, Monza, Valenzana, San Remo, and Albenga. Players also saw AC Milan play a champions league game, and were special guests in Monte Carlo to watch Monaco v St Etiene, and finally Sampdoria v Parma.

Morris comments: "Records were broken this tour for results and winning certain games by both groups. I want to congratulate the players on making this tour very successful, and showing the Italian clubs that we are on the right track, and for attracting the interest in GISS from those clubs. GISS is proud to anounce the signing of 2 players at serie B team Vicenza Calcio: Steven Maselli (GISS Australia) 18yrs, and Paolo Rogato (GISS Canada) 16yrs, after a successful 18+ tour in July 2009.

Morris comments:'' We are very pleased to have signed Steven and Paolo to one of Italy's most historic teams, where champions are born - Paolo Rossi, Roberto Baggio, Massimo Briaschi, Luciano Miani, Mauro Zironelli, just to mention a few. Let's hope our boys can take the next step to the 1st team as soon as possible."

The Genova International July-August 18+ tour 2009 ends on a high: yesterday saw the third successful tour end, the prestigious summer tour seeing GISS play against Torino Calcio, Siena, Mantova, Cittadella, Vicenza, Chievo, and Sambonificese. Read some online press on the tour here.

I'd say that the quality of the players is always getting stronger. All credit to the GISS coaching staff. And for our players to be able to compete against these teams is great, especially to be able to play alongside players like Samuel Dalla Bono, ex Chelsea, Milan, Napoli, and Ivan Vukomanovic, ex Bordeaux, Lokeren, Red Star, Dynamo Moscow.
