Director's comments: "I think the players coming through this year have improved very much, and I'd like to congratulate them for making GISS proud of their performances on and off the field. Most of the teams we played against had GISS players or staff signed up in the club, so it was a big thrill for the other players to be able to see what it could be like to follow their ex-team mates' footsteps, and most of all watching Australia's most successfull player ever - Marco Bresciano - playing live. I'd like to personally thank Mark for taking time to come and talk and say hello to our boys after his game in Verona. All the best..."

November 9, 2009: Verona

Nick Terezakis, 16years, GISS Australia/Melbourne Phoenix player has officially signed with historic club Hellas Verona. Nick has been living in Italy with other players from abroad with the Zane Project, and will now move to club headquarters in Verona.

Morris comments: ''I'm very pleased for Nick as he is a great player and a person who deserves the best, as he was one of our first ever players to join the Academy, and at the age of 13 yrs. There's a saying that sometimes you find the best talents in your own back yard; I found Nick in my sister Gaby's backyard, as they are next door neighbours. Good luck Nick.''

Joe's comments: ''Great to see Nick go to such a big club, as he is the first ever signed Australian at the club. It's been a pleasure coaching him for the past 3 years both in Australia and Italy."

Nick's comments: ''I'm over the moon to have started my career at such a famous club... and many thanks to GISS for giving me this opportunity.''

GISS and Melbourne Phoenix players Nick Modaffari and Jack Turner are this week trialling with Serie B team Padova.
